What kind of supplements do I take?
I received this question in my inbox few days ago and I thought I will share the answer on the blog.
I do not take much as I believe that if you are having a balanced diet and eat a bit of everything you should not have any deficiencies. Saying that, it is what I do and I am still Iron deficient so I am never against a little boost.
My top 4 are:
- Vitamin C: the best way to help absorption of iron in the body and great to reduce inflammation as well
-Iron, in any forms: tablets, liquid, injection, infusion, you name it I have tried it!!!
-Collagen capsules, the brand I get is Bio Island from Chemist warehouse and it is amazing at improving your skin and minimizing fine lines if your are not in your twenties anymore :)
-Chlorophyll: I used to drink chlorophyll water a lot but haven't done it in the last few months.
Add a spoonful to a litre of water and drink it thorough out the day. The mint one tastes great and give your body the detox it needs.
I also regularly add Maca powder and Vital greens to my smoothies but that's pretty much it!
For my gut health, I eat coconut yogurt everyday and get my probiotic from there. I also like starting the day with lemon and hot water (vinegar when I am brave). That's it!
