10 songs to listen when you are down and hurting

10 songs to listen when you are down and hurting

Hi there!

This week I wanted to make a short post on my fav songs to listen to when I am unwell.

Since a very young age, I practice dance-off, it is like a little random party dance that can happen anywhere, anytime. I used to do it with my brother and sister, with friends, with boyfriends and most often by myself(mirror optional). Growing up, my parents always played The Beatles or Rolling stones to wake us up on Sunday morning. A good tune in a movie or a catchy ad break, basically any excuse was good to dance our worries off.

Breaking into a song and dance is good for the soul, it works better than paracetamol with codeine and it can lift your mood very quickly.

Remember those time when you were a kid jumping on your bed pretending you were a rock star? Well it is the same, you can shake you hair and lip sync or even dress-up. Be wild.

Just few days ago, I was in a lot of pain, really did not feel in the mood to dance, standing up was already draining but I let myself play the game and it did end up putting a smile on myself. So if you are limited in your movement just take baby steps or sit on your couch and sing along!

No judgment here, these songs are not made for hipster parties and it does not matter! Do not worry, it is not because you occasionally love a catchy pop tune that you have bad taste.

We all do!

So now bring on your air mic and air guitar, pick a song and let's dance:

1/ Ain't no mountains high - Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell

2/ Raise your glass - Pink

3/ Scream - Usher

4/ Don't stop believin - Journey

5/ It's my life - Bon Jovi

6/ Low - Florida

7/ The story of us - Taylor Swift

8/ Go your own way - Fleetwood Mac

9/ Stronger (What doesn't kill you) - Kelly Clarkson

10/ Michael Jackson - Beat it

Happy dancing xxx
