4 months without alcohol or almost...
Hi guys,
In October, I was talking to you about my challenge of not drinking for a year and just wanted to give you an update on how it feels after 3 months:
The good things that have happened:
1/ I have got plenty of time to do plenty of things without having a headache!
2/I have a new super power : clear-sightness. Since I am not drunk I am very much aware of what's happening around me and realized that some people look very miserable when they are out drinking!
3/I feel like I can eat more without feeling guilty since I do not drink calories :))
The things that did not happen:
1/No you don't suddenly loose weight when you stop drinking
2/Your skin does not start glowing two days after you stopped drinking either
3/Soda water does not become a tasty drink...ever...even with lime! But still better than water!
The 1 thing that could have happened:
Giving up: On Christmas eve, I ended up surrounded by people drinking and faced a few stressful situations and ended up having a beer, turn out my body could not even handle it and I vomited. I thought I will feel disappointed by myself and beating myself down. But I choose not to do it because at the end of the day, trying to have that drink remind me why I stopped, how sick it makes me feel and how much I need to surround myself with the right people! So if any of you are on a mission to stop drinking, DO NOT GIVE UP!EVER! Even if it does not go according to plan and you end up having a drink, it does not mean you have failed, take it as an experience and remind yourself why you wanted to stop drinking.
Have you tried to stop alcohol for while? What were your reasons?
I would love to hear about it so do not hesitate to leave a comment!
Take care of you wellness lovers. x
